Directions Credit Union offers a variety of savings opportunities to meet our members’ many saving needs. Whether you’re planning for a major purchase, a child’s education, or a family vacation; Directions has a savings plan for you.
Insurance on Your Deposits
Passage of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 on October 3, 2008 increases federal share protection to $250,000 on all types of accounts until December 31, 2009.
Your Savings are insured up to $500,000. The first $250,000 is covered by NCUA , a U.S. Government agency, with an additional $250,000 of coverage provided by Excess Share Insurance (ESI), a private corporation.
Share Savings Accounts
Directions basic savings account. A $25 minimum balance is required to maintain a savings account. There are no monthly or annual fees, and it pays a competitive dividend rate that is compounded quarterly.
Money Management Account
These accounts were designed for members wanting to receive higher dividends while maintaining liquidity. This account may be opened to earn market interest rates for balances over $2,500.
MEGA Saver Account
This savings account is an attractive alternative to money market funds with higher rates for larger balances. The minimum to open is $25,000. Minimum balance to maintain to avoid a service charge is $25,000.
Holiday Club
This account is designed to help you save for the Holidays. You can make regular deposits throughout the year. There is a minimum of $5.00 to open the account.
Youth Savings Account
A regular share savings account that is available to those 22 years of age and younger. A deposit of $25.00 is needed to open the account. There are no fees associated with this account.
